as a designer and art director i focus on branding, printed matter and exhibition design, often for cultural clients or small family run businesses. i’m aiming for an appropriate interplay between functionality and appearance, simplicity and complexity – with all the subtleties and nuances inbetween.

i see design as a tool to translate, visually specifically. for example to translate the client’s message and values to their customers. it’s about finding the right story, words and tone in the right place and time.

using all kinds of media, i see myself working along the intersections of art and design.
